English Business 2 ( Subject, Verb, Complement & Modifier )

PRELIMINARY
Hello, my name is Ra Mia Dewi Marta , you can call me Mia. I’m a student major Accounting of Gunadarma University.  i get english lecture 2,  I get the assignment from
My lecturer to make article from some material in SAP, English is one of the international languages spoken by many countries. because the role of English as a language of international communication is very important for various sectors, and Indonesia is one of the countries that now make English as a second language, although not all Indonesian people do. to make this article i focus more search about  subject, verb, complement, and modifier, which I will explain below with examples.

PROBLEM
In general, Maybe we are very familiar with the Subject name, and Predicate (Verba) in a sentence. And basically, the sentence can be said Sentence if it has both Components (Subject & Verb). The problem is that we do not know the difference from the subject of the verb complement modifier. Here I will explain the difference of complementary subject and verb modifier in the sentence.

Example :
Jill is buying a new hat in the store.
·         Subject                        : Jill SUBJECT because it shows what or who is discussed in a sentence or clause.
·         Verb                : is buying, is a verb because as a verb by Jill.
·         Complement    : a new hat is a complement because as a complementary word for the verb .
·         Modifier          : in rhe store is a Modifier because as a description of  place.

*    # Mother is cooking dinner tonight
·         Subject                        : Mother SUBJECT because it shows what or who is discussed in a sentence or clause.
·         Verb                : is cooking, is a verb because as a verb by mother.
·         Complement    : dinner  as a Complementary word for the eating.
·         Modifier          : tonight as MODIFIER serves to explain the time.

SOLUTION
Now i will explain about Subject, Verb, Complement, Modifier. Subject is about what or who is spoken  in a sentence or clause whereas predicate explains something about the subject. The Subject is the agent of the sentence in the active Voice, Subject is the person or thing that does the  action of the sentence, and subject normally precedes  the verb.
Verb are a class of words used to show the performance of an action , existence , possession , or state of a subject. To put it simply a verb shows what something or someone does. Complement is a  sentence element, which serves to complete parts or elements of other sentences, such as subject,  predicate, and object. Complement can be a noun, a phrase, or a clause. A complement Sentence that comes after the Verb and is needed to make the sentence complete. A complement completes the verb. It is similar to  the subject because it is usually a noun or noun  phrase, However, it generally follows the verb  when the sentence is in the active voice. Complements may follow the verb  be, or other linking verbs such as seem or become. Complements can also follow the clause object.
Modifier tells the time, place or manner of the action.  Very often it is a prepositional Phrase. Prepositional Phrase is a group of words that begins  with a preposition and ends with a noun. The existence of modifiers allows a writer to convey what they imagine accurately to the  reader. There are even some people who think that without a modifier a sentence will feel boring
